The mission of Lone Oak United Methodist Church is to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ through Prayer, Worship, Study, Witness, and Service. We invite all persons to join us on this journey.
Our front entrance is off the Lone Oak Road/Highway 45 four lane just past Milner and Orr Funeral home on the lelft toward Mayfield.
Dr. Ben Boone became an ordained minister in the United Methodist Church in 1976. He earned his Doctor of Ministry degree from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia in 1981. In 2006 the congregation of Lone Oak UMC welcomed him as their pastor.
Ben and his wife, Ann, have been married 38 years. They have two adult children and three grandchildren. Ben enjoys living an active life, reading, piddling in dirt, and hanging out with people. He serves as the Registrar for Ordination on the Board of Ordained Ministry and the Community Spiritual Director for the Purchase Area Emmaus Community. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Paducah Cooperative Ministry and the Christian Counseling Center of Western Kentucky.
Secretary - Cyndi Stephens moved to the Paducah area more than 20 years ago with her husband, Mark, and son, Ben. In June of 2009, she joined the staff here at Lone Oak UMC. Her interests and hobbies include graphic design, jewelry making, scrapbooking, card making, and puzzles. She also loves to meet new people and truly enjoys her job here at Lone Oak. Cyndi often finds herself writing ideas that just pop into her head. Every now and then, she adds them to her blog at www.cyndijstephens@blogspot.com. Accountant - Christi Summers is originally from the Paducah area and now lives in Metropolis, IL with her husband, Sonny, and their three boys, Landon, Hayden, and Preston. She has been our accountant here at Lone Oak UMC since July of 2005.
Nursery Attendant - Ardeth Sneddon is the mother of three and grandmother of five. She moved to Paducah from Las Vegas, five years ago and now loves spending her Sundays in the nursery with the little ones. She is also employed by Lone Oak Super Value as a floral assistant.
