The mission of Lone Oak United Methodist Church is to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ through Prayer, Worship, Study, Witness, and Service. We invite all persons to join us on this journey.

Our front entrance is off the Lone Oak Road/Highway 45 four lane just past Milner and Orr Funeral home on the lelft toward Mayfield.

We are a congregation of over 500 members. Seeking, Growing, Serving are three words that best describe the spirit of our life and services together. We attempt to create an atmosphere in which questions are valued. We plan our worship and educational life for the purposes of growing a deeper faith and understanding of God's claim upon our lives. We value responding to human needs with commitments to support Paducah Cooperative Ministry, disaster response concerns, community and world mission. We believe we are all on a journey toward loving and serving God with the gifts God gives us. We believe that the life of faith is a journey that takes a life-time to travel.

Because we believe that the Christian Faith is dynamic and not static, we are all encouraged to grow spiritually so we can better serve God through our witness, both in church and in the world. Prayer, Worship, Study, Witness, and Service are essential Christian practices that keep us connected to God and other Christians. Come connect with us today!

Communion Offering for July
July's offering will support ministries that reach out to Latino and Hispanic persons within the bounds of the Memphis Conference.

PCM Food & Fund Drive
Our annual special support for Paducah Cooperative Ministries continues through July 18th. Nancy Sanders is coordinating this "friendly" competition for our Sunday School Classes.

If you plan to make a monetary contribution to the work of PCM, please mark your check or envelope "Fund Run" with the name of your Sunday School Class if it is to count toward a class point total. A list of needed food items can be found on the table at the back of the sanctuary. The collection item for July and August is boxed cereal!

Communion Offering for August
August's offering is given to United Methodist West Kentucky Family Services. Your gifts will help this foster care and adoption agency located in Paducah. Offerings assist with the physical and mental health costs for children ranging in age from birth to 21 years old.

Vacation Bible School!
We're going on a High Seas Expedition! Children ages three and up will enjoy learning stories of the Bible about Peter, Paul, John, and of course, Jesus! July 5-9, VBS will begin at 5:30pm and end at 8:30pm. Supper will be served. Nursery will be provided.

If you, the people of LOUMC, have any news, updates, and/or events that you think should be added to the main page or the calendar (or any other page for that matter) PLEASE let me know. I'd be happy to oblige! Don't worry, I'll take care of finding an image for the article if needed. All I ask of you is if it needs to be featured on the main page that you write up something for me. This ensures that it gets added in a timely manner.
Thanks! - Rachael (loneoakumc@gmail.com)
