The mission of Lone Oak United Methodist Church is to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ through Prayer, Worship, Study, Witness, and Service. We invite all persons to join us on this journey.

Our front entrance is off the Lone Oak Road/Highway 45 four lane just past Milner and Orr Funeral home on the lelft toward Mayfield.
Make a Joyful Noise!
Our Handbell Choir is a diverse bunch of music lovers whose ages have ranged from fourteen to seventy. What they have in common is a love of ringing and a desire to share God's love through music. They have discovered a special camaraderie born of sharing bells, sheet music, and fellowship. They even find that playing handbells is a great stress reliever!
Although it is helpful to have had some musical training, no matter how brief or how long ago, music reading skills are not required to join the Handbell Choir. Each ringer's notes are marked on the music, making it easy to follow.
We will be happy to meet one-on-one with anyone who is interested in joining the choir and would like to try ringing the bells. Beginning ringers are assigned a single bell, and given as much individual instruction, practice, and hand-holding (the non-ringing hand!) as needed.
The Lone Oak UMC Handbell Choir started in 2003 as the result of a generous gift from Devida King in memory of her late husband, Philip. We play several times a year for the congregation and occasionally accompany the chancel choir in their anthems.
Rehearsals are on Wednesdays from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., except during the summer. We look forward to welcoming new ringers at the beginning of each session in January and August. But be forewarned: bell ringing is habit-forming!
