The mission of Lone Oak United Methodist Church is to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ through Prayer, Worship, Study, Witness, and Service. We invite all persons to join us on this journey.
Our front entrance is off the Lone Oak Road/Highway 45 four lane just past Milner and Orr Funeral home on the lelft toward Mayfield.
The Chancel Choir performs each Sunday during worship service. Our SATB choir performs a variety of sacred music from classical to contemporary. Our choir, being very diverse, includes the following groups: acapella, men's , traditional choral, SATB, SAB, solo's, duets, small groups and gospel.
We share the message through the traditional Christmas Cantata each year in December.
Our choir is on vacation the month of July and resumes rehearsal in August with a potluck in combination with our first rehearsal. During the July worship services, a variety of special music is performed.
New members are welcome to join at any time during the year. Our members range in age and ability from middle school to mature adults. Those that cannot read music to those that are accomplished musicians!
Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings from 7:00-8:00.
Fall rehearsals are as follows: Christmas Cantata from 7:00-8:30.
